// HAPPY 2008

// The Last Night

And here it comes, the most festive night of the whole year . It's 31st December, it's the time to go out, dress better, drink champagne, have a wonderful dinner and spend a nice time with the ones you like most!

Sometimes, and because this is a special night for all of us, it is difficult to make the right choices… We leave you with some suggestions of how to take advantage of your time tonight.

First thing (after a long hot bath) is to choose what to wear! As we love to make your life easier, here are three possible looks: romantic, trash and party look. You'll be amazing, no matter which one you prefer.

If dinner at home with some friends is not in your plans, hurry up and make a reservation in a nice restaurant, because usually they are blowing up. Amo-te Tejo or Bica do Sapato are safe and good choices.
// Bica do Sapato

To party all night long, you have plenty of offers. You can go for a quiet place, with good music and delicious wine, the streets (in the middle of a giant mass of people, looking at the fireworks for about half an hour), or some party in a discotheque to spend the midnight. It's up to you and your mood.

// Boutique Dior - Paris

In 1947, n. º30 of Montaigne Avenue became an emblematic place for the fashion world. Christian Dior was opening the "Boutique de Colifichets", where he presented his first collection, "New Look". Without knowing, Dior was changing, for good, the world of fashion and the concept of luxury and griffe.

To celebrate Dior's 60 anniversary, this boutique was refurnished. Architect Peter Marino gave it a new look (just like Dior did with high couture in '47), creating a symbioses between past and present.
If you are planning to go to Paris shortly, go and visit this intimate atmosphere boutique where you can not only see Dior's classical pieces, but also appreciate the artwork of some contemporary artists, such as van der Straeten and Aldo Chale.

// IN-VENTO by Kolovrat Concept

Lidija Kolovrat presented her "IN-VENTO" in 7th December, at Kolovrat Concept Store.

We were at the presentation and came back later to her atelier to photograph and understand IN VENTO's concept, bags thought to be an extension of the women's bodies, a second skin.

This new bag line explores Jeanne d'Arc theme, mixes sensuality and discipline, strength and elegance. It works squares and circles, opposite geometric shapes, to make the form redundant.

IN VENTO useful and versatile bags, made for contemporary women, are available in different sizes, patterns and textures. If you are not thinking in buying one, go see it then… Surprise yourselves!

// How wrong can we be?

While visiting "The Wrong Shop" (which is nothing but right!), we found the so-called strategic souvenirs, the most interesting, originals, unusual and ironic greetings of Lisbon.
The Wrong Shop brings out of its concept icons of Portuguese folk and tradition, such as Santo António or Barcelos' Rooster, and shows their kitsch and funny side.

Concrete candies, Tower of Pisa's, Big Ben's or Atomium's t-shirts with the lettering "This is not Lisbon", engagement origami rings, a painting of Mona Lisa holding a banana, design accessories, broche and bags with tourist Lisbon routes are some of the pieces you can buy here and which awaken us of the ways of being and living in Portugal.

The question is “How wrong can we be?”
