// PARIS Fashion Week

Since the 30th September, Paris is a non stop fashion party.

Alexander Mcqueen made a brilliant show, kind of a best-of of his career as a fashion designer (going through the tight wastes and the kimonos), homage to his mentor, the late Isabella Blow.

Anne Demeulemeester proposal was a 30’s look (kind of masculine-feminine style), elongated vests and pants and monochromatic looks, also present in the Viktor & Rolf's fashion show.

Maison Martin Margiela presented an underground beige and black look, with soft silhouettes and Sonia Rykiel closed her fashion show with Mick Jagger’s “Paint in Black”; by the time of her fashion show finale, the models were dancing around surrounded by a cloud of feathers, with Peggy Guggenheim sunglasses in their faces and soft spring dresses in their bodies.

// CONVERSE AW07/08

This season, Converse offers you a huge amount of choices: the typical All Star (rocker style, military look or Hollywood trash glamour), One Star, Weapon, or the Saylor Jerry line (inspired in the 50’s American culture of artwork and tattoos).
Following a time line, this label developed five different clothing collections: Legend (celebrating its 100 years of existence), Basket (inspired in the 100 points Witt Chamberlain did in the game against Philadelphia Warriors in 1962), Army (military look), Rock and Music (because music and Converse have a very close relation, since always), and All Star People (to Converse fans: the all times clothes to the all times fans)

// A little bit of history

Massachussets, 1908 – Marquis Mills Converse decided to produce rubber soled shoes.
Since that day on, he never stopped.
In 1917, especially designed for Basket Ball players, the “All Star” appeared, and came to stay (until today, actually!); remember James Dean, Elton John, David Bowie? All of them had a pair!
Other Converse successful sneakers are the Jack Purcell, created by the badmington player in 1935, rubber soled and with his smile on the front, and bought by Converse in 1972.

//A dream collection – Outono/Inverno 2007

It’s impossible to talk about fashion and trends without mentioning tissues. So, we went to the presentation of the winter Pedro & Osorio’s collection, to see what’s new.

“Inspired in nature’s tones, Pedro & Osório created a colourful collection: patterns, cotton linen tissues, soft textures and transparencies, take us to an imaginary world full of nature and fantasy“

//MiniAddicted Party

Armazém 23 was starting to get crowded by the time we arrived (about 11p.m.), and being filled by hundreds of Mini Coopers, which drove us crazy (we want one as well!).
The whole space, decorated with concrete, traffic signs and tyres, was not enough for all the people dancing to the music, drinking or just chatting at the lounge.We fell in love for the black mini cooper S, we loved the Onitsuka Tigers hanging from chains and the red Smeg fridge full of beer! We had lots of fun!

(P.S.- We also loved the candies near the bars – Donuts, Snickers, Mars and so on)

Masculine look pieces are an extra-charm to your look.
Ballerina full coloured shoes combined with black: very nice.
