// HBOX Hermès

Since 28th November the Centre Pompidou in Paris is exhibiting the Hermès project Hbox, created by Didier Fiuza (Portuguese artist and architect) and Benjamin Weil (director of Artists Space, NY).

Hbox is a mobile video space, showing the work of eight video artists, coming from different countries and cultures (each year, four new artists substitute four of the previous); this project sees the video as a moving art through the world, proportioning the reencounter of different publics and concepts.

After Pompidou, Hermès "black box" will be at MUSAC (Léon, Spain) and MUDAM(Luxembourg), as well as in other places of Europe, Asia and America.

Let's hope it will come to Lisbon, too…

// John Travolta is alive...it's ABSOLUT DISCO!!!

Picture yourselves walking around through Lisbon... people shopping, traffic, the usual movement... suddenly, you see these four guys, dressing 70's clothes and dancing to disco sound in the middle of the street (you look for John Travolta hidden in some corner and looking 30 years older, but you cannot find him!)

Last week, some of you certainly saw this scenario, because ABSOLUT brought the party to the streets of Lisbon.

Four friends, in disco style (as you can obviously notice), walked through the city, making dance floors in the most unusual places you can imagine (metro stations, bus stops...), and ended the day with this huge party at Fragil.

We were there, and we danced a lot!

This Absolut initiative uses the special Christmas pack from absolute (a bottle covered with mirrors, like the disco balls) to recreate the 70's mood; once you hang the bottle, the only thing you can do is dance! "Dance anywhere, anyhow, anytime"

We decided to go shopping at a different place.

At 8.00 AM there we were, in the freezing cold, going down the street to catch the 28 tram; ten minutes later, and there was the Ladra market.

As we went early in the morning (and it really was cold), there were not many people yet, so we managed to see the entire fair and look carefully for something interesting.We saw everything, literally: electric stuff, antiques, shoes, clothes, coins, postcards, letters written a long, long time ago, barbie's and ken's, used make-up, little bottles of cream, which were told us to be "Caléche" from Hermès (though it smelled like cheap soap), handcrafted stuff and beautiful original 60's sunglasses.We bought two of them; the first ones, John Lennon style (totally in now) were told us to be original "Ran Michelle" (whatever that is, we don't know), and so, the € 5 barrier was crossed; the second ones were 60's originals, and the salesman said they were really "Brojite Bordeaux" style!

We fell in love with a black and purple Portuguese folk scarf (perfect for cold days like this), and with a black hat (leather imitation) worthy of a muscovite walking around the Red Square.

Once animal patterns are in, a blouse for € 1 sounded really nice! Here's the proof that we didn't resist!Then came the accessories: a beautiful silver bracelet, one black leather coin-keeper, and a '71 Portuguese fashion magazine, called "Modas e Bordados".
