// Let there be light // Diesel SS08

Last week we visited the presentation of Diesel’s SS08 collection, set in a beautiful location in the heart of Lisbon, Gallery Brandão, in Bairro Alto. Instead of the expected continuation of the underground glamour-trash image (rather on the dark side) which characterized Diesel’s last collections, we were surprised by a lighter, more energetic and colorful collection. We love it!

The Diesel team, led by Wilbert Das, created a collection that brought colours (especially white and neon, light green and blue, lemon yellow...), cuts and shapes together in unexpected combinations.
Based on a game of colors, volumes and textures, light blue faded denim; sun-bleached day glow; misty tops over form-fitting silhouettes styled with black and white denim corsets, retro scuba chic are some of the refreshing news of this wonderful collection, which whether shows or conceals the body.

// OVERSIZED is the rule: shoulders and pockets, big t-shirts with abstract graphics, and a sleeveless denim jumpsuit featuring dramatic shapes and oversized zips (our highlight for the next season).
Unfortunately you have to wait until the clothes are available in the shops, but in the meantime, some appetizers below, from the NY fashion show.
